My father regularly buys fried rice with one egg for $2.20. Today, he was charged $2.70 for the exact same item by a Malay auntie. When he questioned the price difference, she turned to her colleague and, speaking in Malay, saying it was because he is Chinese. (Lucky my daddy can speak Malay. If not, he won't be able to understand their conversation). In short, Chinese have to pay extra 50 cents!! This behavior is discriminatory and completely unacceptable. No one should be treated differently based on their race.

New owners took over on 1st September 2025 and after a week of waiting for their renovation, I had high hopes for the revamped store. Sadly, what awaited me was nothing short of daylight robbery disguised as a meal. I ordered Rice, Rendang (a pathetic five tiny pieces), Fried chicken (a measly four pieces no larger than seaweed chicken), and Long Beans. The bill? An outrageous $10.30. The breakdown was atrocious: Rendang $5, Chicken $3, Long Beans $1.50, Rice $0.80. Not only were the portions shockingly stingy, the taste was also not that good. Bland, uninspired and certainly not worth even half the price. This was without question, the worst and most overpriced lunch I have ever endured. Just a greedy owner with idiotic price charging employees. Definitely not a place i would recommend for you all to go to buy food.

The place is generally clean but no service because it's self-service. I ordered the rice with mutton and it was $8.50 with just one piece of mutton that was rubbery and neither well-cooked nor marinated. If I ever go back, I'll try the ramli burger.
