First time trying Nasty Cookie, and honestly, texture-wise, it’s not really my type of cookie 😅 I personally prefer my cookies to be softer, chewier, flatter, and with those melty chocolate chips that really blend nicely into the dough. For this one, the chocolate chips don’t really melt into the cookie the same way, so it feels a bit less integrated texture-wise. The dough itself is also slightly thicker and heavier, so you get more of that doughy aftertaste. But to be fair, it’s actually not very sweet, which I think some people would really appreciate. The dark chocolate version has a slight bitterness to it as well, which makes it feel less jelak compared to sweeter cookies. Overall, while the texture is personally not my preferred style, taste-wise it’s still decent — especially for people who enjoy cookies that are less sweet. If you’re someone who doesn’t like overly sugary cookies, then the dark chocolate chip one would probably be the better choice.
The mochi with pistachio kadaif inside was really mediocre, the filling was crunchy but extremely sweet, overwhelming any other flavours with the extreme sweetness. I was hoping was a rich pistachio flavour, which was not present at all. The chocolate cookie was the same, sweet and sugary, lacking the flavour of chocolate, perhaps it's also covered by the extreme sweet. The texture was somewhere between totally buttery and crispy, but not chewy. Conclusion, they don't make me wanna return.
Didn’t like the Dubai cookie at all the external shell thing is awful — tastes almost savory. Definitely an acquired taste. The filling is fine — very crunchy.
