OwenI went to the restaurant to enjoy the 1-for-1 healthy deals, because I saw it advertised on Telegram and Instagram. I went on the respective social media pages to see the T&Cs, but there were no T&Cs. It was advertised as a very straightforward 1-for-1 deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays, dine-in only. I went to get the deals with my partner. The restaurant had physical advertisements for the 1-for-1 deal as well. When we sat at the table, the waitress told us to order via scanning the QR code. On the app, the menu AGAIN said it was a 1-for-1 deal. When we ordered it, only one meal came, so we asked the waitress about it. She said the promotion is only available if you order on the counter. That information was in fine print on the advertisement (not even an asterisk to draw our attention to it, just straight-up a one-liner fine print), and completely not mentioned on the online menu. The manager was brought over and we asked her about it. For some reasons not properly explained to us, the restaurant could not simply make another bowl, cancel our order to let us make a new order, or refund our order. In the end, the manager gave us some free wings to make up for it. To be clear, the waitress and the manager were nice and handled the situation to the best of their ability. However, what I am disappointed about is the deceptive advertising. There was no genuine effort to let customers know that the deal was only available if you order at the counter. I don't understand why the deal is only available via counter, and why the advertisement was so deceptive. The portions of the food were also disappointingly small. I used to enjoy going to Nando's, but this incident really disappointed me. I no longer respect the brand after the advertising stunt they pulled off. I will not be dining at Nando's anymore.
S SOrdered one of the platters to share, but the portion turned out much smaller than what was shown in the menu photo. That said, the chicken was very tender, and the loaded fries came with a generous amount of cheese sauce.
