A good place around Joo Koon Circle if you’re craving South Indian food. I tried the mutton biryani, and since it’s a Tamil-style restaurant in Singapore, I was hoping for the distinctive Chennai-style biryani that’s rich in flavour and truly satisfying. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. Perhaps I was expecting too much, considering it’s thousands of miles away from Chennai. It’s understandable that recipes evolve and adapt to local tastes over time. The mutton itself wasn’t very appealing—it was quite tough and required a lot of chewing. That said, this was based on just one dish, and the other items on the menu might be much better. Overall, it was a decent one-time try, but the biryani wasn’t memorable enough for me to return specifically for it.
This famous Tamil restaurant in Singapore is a must-visit! 🤩 The food is wonderful, with flavors that remind me of hometown. The service is awesome, and it's conveniently located at Joo Koon MRT with a great atmosphere. #restaurant #food #flavors #service #atmosphere
