23 Oct 2025, 4.20pm. 3 stars. Well, I can't understand the hype or the 5 star reviews given for this brand. Their min jiang kueh is definitely not the best I've had. I ordered the original red bean $1.60 and there was no queue, no wait. Female staff was quite efficient & responsive to questions. The hardened edges were like eating fortune cookies, which I quite like, but the baked surfaces of the pastry was a bit too hard & chewy. Inner texture was a little bit softer. Overall can be lighter / crispier. Red bean paste was fragrant, a good amount, but could be less sweet. It got a bit jelak as I was finishing the pancake. Noticed that the portion size was a bit smaller for the green tea skins compared to the original & charcoal skins. CDC vouchers accepted for payment. Will only buy if in the vicinity & have a craving.
This place is pretty airy and the environment is great. The food is hot and tastes good with plentiful of peanuts.
Great options of pancakes and fillings. Good service from staff. Crowd was managed efficiently during busy periods with a great smile especially by the lady staff who I believe is the boss as she was the only one not in uniform. Overall, one of my favorite Munchi branches.
