WanderWithWitMunchi Pancakes at Mandai Wildlife Reserve ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve long loved Munchi Pancakes for their soft, warm, and fluffy texture. Fillings like peanut butter, Kaya, coconut, and Biscoff are delightful, and their mini munchies — with flavors such as Belgian chocolate and strawberry cream cheese — offer a fun variety. At this outlet, I tried the Milo Dinosaur pancake — chilled Milo cream filling wrapped in a round pancake and sprinkled with Milo powder on top. It was absolutely creamy, and I loved the nostalgic Milo taste we all grew up with. I also picked up two peanut butter pancakes straight out of the hot pan — freshly made and piping hot is truly the best time to enjoy them. That said, what was once a five-star favorite has slipped over time. As the brand has expanded, consistency and taste have noticeably declined, and I hope they pay closer attention to the quality of their ingredients — the choice of flour in particular seems to be a key issue. I chose this Mandai outlet specifically for its friendly service from the Malay staff member Jaa, which made the experience more personal and welcoming. His warmth and hospitality are a big part of why this visit still earns five stars from me, despite prices being higher than other outlets. Here’s hoping the team refocuses on what made them great in the first place — quality, consistency, and that personal touch that keeps customers coming back.
