I rate food either: “Won’t come back (even if free)” “Can come back (with conditions)” “Would go all the way for it” “Shut up and take my money” Went for late Sunday breakfast, saw few people as it was the day before CNY. Ordered “kosong” (plain) prays and the fried chicken. Ordering was straightforward, guys at counter were friendly and patient. For a heartland prata eatery, it was clean and bright. Food wise, it’s not for those fuzzy prata eaters- who expect really crispy and buttery taste. Prata was not greasy(bit on the dry side), slight crispy bits and more chewy texture. First time was served prata with chilli which was actually very good chilli. Personally, it’s a “can come back (if also no long queue)” for it if one is not that fuzzy about prata and is in the vicinity.
The price of the mutton biryani is SGD 9. Considering it’s a shop price, it is acceptable. The biryani rice was overcooked and soggy, and the quality of the rice was not the best for this price point. The masala was a bit too heavy. However, the mutton itself was very tender and well prepared. The salad served was sour, which some customers might enjoy. Overall, the portion size is reasonable
Not my first visit today, I have tried the pratas (kosong & eggs), quite good. The teh tarik and teh alia are up to standard. We tried mutton soup and Mozzarella Cheese Murtabak, these are decently good, value for money.
