Price-wise, it’s reasonably affordable at $2.80 per 100g. However, the taste was very disappointing. It was quite bland and lacked the rich, spicy mala flavour I was expecting. My main concern, though, was the portion. I ordered a large piece of fish, but when I received my bowl, there were only two small bites of fish. The same happened with the enoki mushrooms, the portion seemed much smaller than what I had selected. It honestly felt like some of the ingredients had been removed before serving. If this is meant to be a food stall that charges by weight, customers should receive the full amount of what they pay for. Taste is subjective, but honesty and consistency in serving portions are essential. This experience left me feeling disappointed and unlikely to return.
Got two portions of their Signature Dry Mala, medium spicy – one with beef, cheese tofu, chicken hotdog, broccoli and bitter gourd; the other with beef, extra hotdogs, enoki mushrooms and noodles. Honestly, this hit the spot! Medium spice was just right – nice tingly kick without burning your mouth, and every single bit was nicely coated in that fragrant, nutty sauce. Beef was tender, veggies still crisp, and the noodles soaked up all that good flavour perfectly. Huge shoutout to Chef Han and Ms Yanti! Even with the dinner rush, my order was ready exactly on time, nothing missing, and they were so warm and polite when I picked it up. Service like this really makes my day! Super worth it for the price – I’ll definitely be back 😊
Do not recommend this store as it’s overpriced and the cashier is not helpful in explaining the price breakdown. The quail egg is additional $1.50 for 3 and fried beancurd 5 pieces for $2. So the photo is misleading as it says $2.80 for all ingredients. There is also additional for the sauce at $2 for small and $3 for regular, and is not included in the ingredients price. I was charged $5 for my pot as it’s indicated as large.
