1st time visit the Metta Cafe. It's a clean and peaceful place to have food. There are quite a good variety of food, eastern and western. Food tastes good. The hokkien noodle (like the KL noodle instead of the usual hokkien mee with yellow noodle and thick bee hoon) is a little bit salty. Can ask for less salt. Nasi lemak is nice. Gong Bao Lion's mane with rice set contains peanuts. Some people may be sensitive to peanuts so it will be good to indicate in the menu. Return tray after eating. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Limited parking lots at the open space car park in front of the building, otherwise HDB car park is just besides the building. Overall a good place for a meal. I will go back for more.

It’s nice that this canteen opens to the public and is air conditioned. Personally, the location is really out of the way and the food is quite expensive compared to other canteens. The bee hoon was way too oily and vegetables are stone cold. Breakfast ends at 10:30am. Some days, the cafe can be unexpectedly closed for staff to rest. I find that it can be scary to eat here because the crowd includes special people. On a follow up visit, the food is now warmer than before. It is better to visit earlier in the morning. Other than the air conditioning, I don’t see why would anybody come here instead of going to the local hawker/market where a similar meal is a lot more affordable.
