  Small and tucked away with a large variety of Vadai. Was my first tome trying and I loved it. Had the chilli and onion, onion was much better. They were super oily but thats to be expected. Possibly draining them on tissues can help. Would love to try all the other flavours.

  We first discovered their vadai at a pasar malam and instantly fell in love. The first shop-based outlet we tried was at Century Square—I still remember the long queues when they first opened. For the past year, this outlet has been our go-to mainly for convenience. We moved closer, it’s easier to access, and we don’t have to wait for the next pasar malam to pop up. That said, I honestly feel the pasar malam and Century Square outlets serve slightly better vadai. We’ve tried all the flavours, and our regular order now is the prawn and ikan bilis. At this outlet, the dough feels a bit thicker, and the ikan bilis leans saltier. Since it’s fried food, it’s always best eaten warm or reheated—but the ones here don’t quite get back to the same level of crispiness compared to the other outlets. Even so, we’ll still continue to patronise. Despite the minor differences, their vadai remains the best we’ve had so far.

  Had a nice breakfast at The Original Vadai. The vadai was fresh and crispy on the outside while soft inside, with well-balanced spices. The side options like chicken liver and chicken gizzard were flavorful and paired well with a hot tea. Prices are affordable and the portions are satisfying for a quick morning meal. A great spot for a simple and tasty Indian-style breakfast.
