Very cute Macca's inside a shell petrol station. A bit squishy with only a small counter and 2 self serve machines but despite a busy drive thru we got our order pretty quickly and the staff were friendly. As a tourist, love that it's within walking distance of close hotels and train stations, and also that you can browse the interesting goods in the Shell while you wait. Note that there is no seating here, this is takeaway or drive thru only.
Ordered breakfast deluxe and requested to have the chix sausage packed separately as usual (because I’m vegetarian). Counter staff heard my special order and acknowledged but my meal still came with the chicken sausage inside. Well I can suck it up and eat my breakfast, but the hotcakes came cold and without syrup or butter and now I’m just eating cold bread basically. I might as well just buy bread from the neighbourhood bakery, might be more appetising.
If you value your sanity, this is NOT the place. Most McDonald’s in Singapore are highly positive for me, but alas this is not one of them. What if 4 of the items ordered were missing. What if the drinks handed over were spilling because the base was lopsided; both hot and cold. What if 12-15 of the cars behind you received their orders all while you were told to move aside. And yet none of those were what-ifs. Food is still good and up to McDonald’s standard, unfortunately with the lack of operational control. As much as McDonald’s is a comfort food for me, this is far from comforting.
