Had the Milanese Chicken Chop at Mama Mia, Jurong Point. The chicken was fried to a nice golden-brown colour with a crisp coating that provided good texture. The meat inside was reasonably tender, and the lemon wedge added a welcome touch of acidity to cut through the richness of the fried crust. The potato wedges were the strongest component of the dish—well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, and fluffy inside. The accompanying sauces worked well enough with the chicken, although they didn’t add much beyond the expected flavours. Unfortunately, the fennel salad was underwhelming. It looked somewhat wilted and lacked the crisp freshness typically associated with a good fennel salad. The presentation felt rather rushed, and the salad didn’t provide the refreshing balance that the fried chicken needed. Also the mushroom soup that came with the set meal was not even hot or like warm. But at room temperature. That ruins a good lunch to start off with. Portion size was generous and filling, making it a satisfactory lunch. However, while the individual components were competent, the dish lacked the refinement and attention to detail that would make it memorable. A decent, hearty meal that delivers on comfort food expectations, but there is room for improvement in the freshness and presentation of the accompanying salad. Overall, an average dining experience that earns a solid 3 out of 5 stars.
Had such a peaceful lunch date here with my husband today. The restaurant had a very calm and relaxing atmosphere, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, service was friendly, and we really appreciated how cozy and comfortable everything felt. Perfect place for a quiet meal and quality time together. Will definitely come back again!
Honestly I was looking forward to try this place out due to recommendation from my partner. Seeing their pasta choices I decided to dine in and find out because the flavours looked promising! Firstly not sure if it was an skill issue but not indicated properly on where to Q while we waited to be seated...Got 2 sides to enter from one near the cashier and the other further (saw people standing at both ends so I was unsure). Secondly unpleasant start because staff was not attentive as to my partner and I waiting...but hais issokay still can give chance abit Thirdly I felt very unwelcome as soon as I sat down at the chosen table, staff just gave the menu and left without any greeting or good vibes Fourth, I thought I would be okay already because the waiting time for our food to arrive like 10 minutes or less which wow I was impressed! But then I understood why food came out so fast, FOOD NOT EVEN HOT OR WARM!!! Noodles were like cold, sauce as well and the meat in the pastas... I don't mind waiting for like a reasonably time for our meals to be properly prepped but come on lah, serving cold food?? I could have made a comment on it to the waitress but hungry already T^T. The turkey strip bits ah why so hard?? Like hard rock sia (on-going issue based off other reviews from past patrons) , unfortunate that I didn't raise concerns to the waitress, that one my issue lol Fifth thing was why was it so hard to get attention of waitress? The time we dined in was barely peak hour, I fully understand if like tired or lack of man power but come on lah at least still have staff give their best and stay attentive...Raise hand for awhile like what, we in pre-school? Dessert: Was meh, $5 for that size and taste not worth, save that money and buy somewhere else TOTAL SPENT: $51... TLDR: I will never patronise this outlet ever again. With the lack of good customer service and below average food. Honestly only yummy thing was the mushroom soup at least hot and got taste lor.
