  The staff were extremely nice and friendly. I booked the private room (Melur), and Shazz was very understanding of my needs for the bridesmaids’ proposal. She kept me well updated on the menu options and pricing, which made the planning process seamless. I ordered the set meal, which included appetisers (truffle fries and wings), a main course with three choices, iced lemon tea, and ondeh-ondeh cake. Izzaty and Zarah served us, and they were amazing. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. Both waitresses went above and beyond in their service—constantly checking on us, topping up our drinks, and even adjusting the air-conditioning when we felt warm. Overall, it was a lovely celebration with my girlfriends. The food and service were both excellent. For my bridesmaid proposal, the team surprised me with a complimentary Putu Piring cake and champagne on top of my set order to congratulate me. We also received Malayan Council vouchers and two boxes of takeaway sliced cake. I will definitely be coming back again! 💕✨

  My family and I dined at The Malayan Settlement on the afternoon of 16 May 2026, and we had a truly enjoyable experience. We ordered the Lemak Chili Padi Duck Pasta, Wagyu Burger, Creamy Carbonara Pasta and Shakshouka, which were delicious and beautifully prepared. The food was served promptly, and the service throughout our meal was pleasant and attentive. Just before we were about to leave, my wife was pleasantly surprised with an ondeh-ondeh cake paired with coconut ice cream and a glass of sparkling wine. It was such a thoughtful gesture in celebration of Mother’s Day, even though Mother’s Day had already passed the previous week. A special shout-out to Ms Sara, who attended to our table. She was warm, professional, presentable, and maintained a cheerful smile throughout our visit. She cleared our table efficiently and presented us with the complimentary dessert and drink, which truly made the experience memorable for my wife and family. To our amazement, we were also given a red velvet cake for takeaway before we left. This extra gesture of generosity and hospitality exceeded our expectations and left a lasting impression on us. Thank you to the team at The Malayan Settlement for the wonderful food and exceptional service. We will definitely return again and highly recommend the restaurant to friends and family.
