Mahmud's Tandoor is more than just a burger joint; it's a vibrant, three-storey culinary destination in the heart of Kampong Glam that successfully fuses bold South Asian spices with fast-casual comfort food. If you are looking for an experience that blends exceptional flavour, genuine hospitality, and a surprisingly chic atmosphere, this is the spot. You can find this Bugis area gem at 20 Kandahar Street, Singapore 198885. The dining experience is a huge step up from typical eateries, offering three comfortable levels of seating, including beautifully air-conditioned indoor spaces on the ground floor and second floor, plus a lovely alfresco rooftop terrace. The comfortable and super clean environment makes you want to linger, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a long chat. The star of the show is the food, and I highly recommend the ultimate trio: the OG Tandoor Burger Loaded Fries Set and the signature Bandung Slush. The OG Tandoor Burger features a thick, juicy, baked tandoori chicken thigh that is intensely flavourful, perfectly complemented by a tangy mint yogurt and fresh onions, all cradled in a soft brioche bun. The set comes with the legendary Loaded Fries—crispy, thick-cut fries coated in masala spice and generously topped with tandoori chicken chunks. The icy Bandung Slush is a brilliant, locally inspired treat that cuts through the spice perfectly. Comparing the offerings to other trendy places in the Bugis area, you'll find that the quality, generous portions, and comfortable, multi-level dining environment offer excellent and reasonable value for your money. What truly elevates this experience is the service. The staff are super kind and friendly, consistently going the extra mile to ensure a great visit. They are patient with questions and clearly passionate about the food. On my visit, I even saw Mahmud (one of the founders) actively helping around the restaurant, clearing tables, and interacting with customers. This kind of hands-on leadership is rare and is clearly the reason why the customer service is so exceptional and genuine. In summary, Mahmud's Tandoor is a must-visit for its unique food, stunning seating options, and refreshingly patient and kind staff.

Honestly I find the OG tandoori burger quite delicious but a bit dry? I think I would’ve liked it more if it was a bit juicier. The loaded fries were quite tasty and filling though. Even though the food is a little pricey, I think the portion sizes are worth the price and it’s definitely worth trying at least once.

The burgers were amazing!! The patty combo-ed with the sauce and bun was truly delight on our taste buds. We had the bandung slush too, it was nice, but a little small and sweet for us. Huge indoor space till up to level 3, although we only dined at level 1. The price was a little steep, but that's the average price around the area.
