We finally went to have a meal at Machan’s Kitchen, Race Course d at Little India. Everything we ordered was spot on. Mmmmmm very delicious and super authentic. I can’t wait to return with my family and friends. Indian have a saying that the food we eat is medicine that nourishes the body (உணவே மருந்து). The food here is true testament to this fact. We ordered the satisfying banana stem soup. Followed by fish dumplings biryani, drumstick curry / moringa curry, and masala chicken from a certain district in Tamil Nadu … sorry i forgot coz i can only remember how delicious everything was. The ambience of the restaurant is bright, airy and clean. Modern art deco b/w images adorn the walls. Handwashing basins were clean and had soap dispensers. Paper towels to wipe hands after washing. Staff are attentive, warm and friendly. When you are in Little India Singapore, please come to have fuss free authentic South Indian food without having to fly to South India ;) Thank you to everyone at Machan’s Kitchen :)
Visited Machan’s Kitchen with my family and we truly enjoyed the food. This restaurant was recommended to me during my last visit to Singapore, and it absolutely lived up to the expectation. Previously, we had the Bucket Biriyani, which was delicious and very satisfying. This time, the standout dish for us was the Meen Poondu Kolambu (Garlic Fish Curry) — hands down the best fish curry I’ve ever had. The Chicken Kothu Paratha was also incredibly flavourful and mouthwatering. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with authentic flavours. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys quality South Indian cuisine.
The ambience has such a family vibe. It’s best to go here to eat authentic Tamil dishes. Everything is good, especially the mutton biryani. My kids love the coconut pudding too. And, as a plus factor, the interior is beautifully designed. Will definitely come back and bring family and friends as well. 5⭐️ for both food & service! 🎉
