Their rendition is generous with minced mutton and diced potatoes (replacing peas), with a robust and deep blend of spices, including a pronounced use of black pepper. . Has a thick chunky chewy tender texture with bold meaty savoury salty starchy earthy peppery spice flavour. . . . Mutton Soup And Sup Kambing (SGD $9) @ Mr Teh Tarik Eating House. . Their rendition is strong and rich, the thick cloudy hot soup / broth being stewed over hours. Has deep spice earthy savoury salty meaty flavour. . Light on garnishes, the mutton shank meat is chunky yet tender chewy, with meaty savoury spice flavour. Seems to carry a hint of 5-spice powder as seasoning. Seri YatiThe packed Chicken Rice and Ayam Penyek here are consistently delicious, which is why I keep coming back. However, the service from the young man taking orders really needs improvement. He is highly impatient and answers very curtly. No need for big smiles, but a basic level of courtesy would make the experience much better. Really hope the management can look into this matter.
Tritium T100We regularly purchase chicken rice from the Khatib Teh Tarik at block 846. On the 6th June, at around 7 pm, we approached the stall to buy 1 whole chicken and pack some rice separately. The guy at the stall stated that their they cannot sell the whole chicken but suggested to buy packets chicken rice pack instead of selling the whole chicken. Since he does not want to sell the whole chicken together with packet rice, we obliged to his suggestion. All this conversation was going on where he continued to scroll on his handphone, looking at his handphone, instead of looking at us. Subsequently, I think we were disturbing his handphone session and he asked in malay "Kak, tempat lain tak jual nasi ayam?" (Kak, there is no other place selling chicken rice?) We wish to feedback of this poor customer services and are not sure we will continue to patronise your stall.
