This design-led destination at this new Kopitiam transforms everyday dining into a really new experience. The space is inspired by Malay heritage, featuring warm earthy tones & fluid lines that echo the shapes of banana leaves & spices. A major highlight is the “Ulam-ulaman” illuminated art installation by local artist Hafizah (@hahahafi), alongside a canopy of color-changing LED lanterns at the entrance is such a fresh look for our new wave of Kopitiams. My top pick is still the Nasi Padang and Cha Mulan! The Xiaoping Bao is good too! But yet to try the other stalls.
Quite crowded near lunch time. I like best Nasi Padang store. I had the Nasi Ambeng Set that came with 1 chicken and 4 vegetable varieties $12.90. Other stores tried are nice too. All halal.
I really miss the halal Chinese food I had in China so I decided to try out the beef roti here and it tastes exactly the same, just as flavourful. Also to my delight, the steamboat stall was selling ala carte lamb skewers for $1.50 each and. These are to die for if you have never tried one before. So juicy and tender with bits of fat on it. Brought back memories of my travels in China lol. I ended up ordering another round. This stall is a must to try out. You won't find anything like it in other halal food courts. I will definitely come back to here to feast on halal Chinese cuisines.
