  The newly refurbished Kopitiam Food Hall at the top floor of Jem is such a nice place to be. After dinner hours, it stays clean and well air-conditioned, with courteous patrons all around. Food were also abundant and sufficient for late diners. The quality of food were also restaurant level at kopitiam price. Highly recommended as they also have ongoing promotions for some of the stalls.

  The whole atmosphere of the whole food hall is quite warming and nice to chill out. Even that I came down for lunch around 2pm+, there were many people settling down at the Food Hall. Though crowded, however it was easy to get a table. By walking one round, I settled down with a bowl of Fujian Lor Mee which costs me $7.11 after discount paying by ntuc app. Looking at the menu at the stall, it stated there are 11 ingredients in the soup. And when you looking into the bowl, you will know what I mean, it doesn't really tally? 3 clams, one fried egg, plenty of small pork belly pieces, veggies and a prawn were found in the soup. The menu also stated that the soup is very 鲜, but it was not the seafood 鲜, it tasted more like thick pork collagen flavour. I have tried other similar fujuan lor mee, the flavour was quite different compared to others. Furthermore, I find that the fried egg is not suitable in the soup, would suggest soft boiled eggs or onsen eggs, it tasted kinda hard and rubbery. Prawn was very fresh but with shell on. That's my point of view, maybe my expectations is much higher.

  Many stalls offering good food here. I come here specially for the tang gui roasted duck. The western food that I ate today is great. The Hong Lim curry puffs and sardines also very good too. Will definitely come back for more and also to try out other stalls as well. Give it a thump up.
