Satay by the Bay is a great place to enjoy local grilled food in a relaxed, open-air setting surrounded by greenery. I visited during lunch on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t crowded, making it easy to find a seat and enjoy a leisurely meal There is a good variety of grilled food to choose from, including satay, BBQ chicken wings, seafood and other local favourites. The food centre’s garden-like environment and waterfront location add to the experience, making it feel more like a destination than a typical hawker centre
Satay by the Bay offers a lively open-air dining experience with a wide variety of local hawker food options. The satay was nicely grilled with a good smoky aroma, tender meat, and decent seasoning. The peanut sauce was rich and nutty, with just the right balance of sweetness and spice, pairing well with the satay. Beyond satay, there are many choices such as seafood, local favourites, and drinks, making it a good place for group dining. The atmosphere is relaxed, especially in the evening with the waterfront breeze and city views. Prices are slightly higher than neighbourhood hawker centres, but acceptable considering the location and ambience. Overall, Satay by the Bay is a good spot for tourists and locals to enjoy satay and local food in a scenic setting.
Stopped here for a quick snack on our way to Gardens by the Bay. The dumplings were okay, but nothing special in terms of flavor. The prices are quite high for the quality and portion size provided. In a city like Singapore with so many amazing food options, this place unfortunately falls short. We’d recommend looking for better value elsewhere.
