Kate IVisited Kimchi Mama after seeing the long queues every time we walked past, and now we understand why! Although the restaurant was busy, the food was served surprisingly fast, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The dining space is quite compact, but it was clean and comfortable. Our favourite dishes were the Hotstone Kimchi Beef Steak Rice, which had tender beef, kimchi, egg, and crispy rice with lots of flavour. The Hotstone Beef Steak Rice was another winner, especially with the well-marinated, tender beef. We also enjoyed the Signature Kimchi Mama Stew Pot (chicken), which was hearty, comforting, and perfect for sharing. The kids loved the Eomuk Fries and the Boneless Soy Garlic Chicken, while the Mama “Shake Shake” Rice Balls were a fun and interactive dish that my son happily finished on his own. If you’re looking for affordable Halal Korean comfort food, this is definitely worth a visit. They offer more than 50 home-style Korean dishes starting from $5.90, with generous portions and good value for money. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!
Anne TanI went in with no expectations as I doubted if it would taste like authentic Korean food because it’s halal, but I'm pleasantly surprised. The hotplate beef rice and spicy beef clam soup were both so good. Plus, you can't beat free-flow sides! The boss is service-oriented and very attentive too. Now I get why this place is always packed. Tip: Arrived at around 11.30am to beat the queue
R TanI came on a weekday for early lunch so was seated immediately. As i was eating, i noticed the place was rapidly filling up w diners and there was a queue outside.. Their side dishes were self served, kimchi, beansprout, pickled radish, corn. Their kimchi soup doesnt come with rice, u have to pay extra for 🍚 .. The broth is v flavourful , with a generous amount of ingredients like toufu, an 🥚 , kimchi, korean tanghoon, onion, chicken/beef (u can choose). Their staffs are helpful and attentive, promptly provided me with chili padi when i requested. Their ordering system was by scanning qr code and online payment but not sure if payment by cash is possible. Overall quite a satisfying meal. Recommended
