Attractive $10 for 2 deal drew huge crowds but the outlet wasn’t equipped to handle it. Staff were swamped trying to clear the orders, and customers were crowding around the counter, believing they will get their food faster if they stood nearer to the front. There was no crowd control. All the staff had their backs turned, only occasionally turning around to yell out a number. The counter top had of trays of exposed chicken, breathed on by the hungry crowd. There was no protocol to display the order number prominently on the orders, so some customers were poking around, fingering through bags etc. The drinks dispenser was changed to self-service recently, with only a small working surface, that had some spills. The ice got stuck, and a customer was trying to dig out the ice by sticking her bare hand in it to dislodge and contaminate the ice. Such a deal can only come from the top, so I think it’s a huge failure on the management’s part to offer such a deal that looks great on paper, but in the end leaves a bad taste in customer’s mouths. It’s very obvious that the ones coming up with such marketing ideas do not bother with opinions or experience of the people on the ground - the outlet staff and customers. KFC is not equipped to handle such a crowd and does not deserve to profit from issuing deals like these. As consumers, we should know that in our late stage capitalistic dystopia, things are expertly and efficiently priced - any deal that seems too good to be true probably has to be paid for in some other way. In this case, it was a much longer wait time (30 mins), higher chance of contaminated food, and hugely unpleasant customer experience.
Well knowledge of Uncle Jimmy tells us Trust bank promotion offering $2.00 off for La Zi Ji Bites and chicken boxes until Feb 24, 2026. Somemore, I would like to commend Uncle Jimmy at KFC NEX for his excellent serving attitude. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the dining experience especially pleasant. The overall dining ambience was comfortable and enjoyable, thanks to the efforts of the entire staff. Uncle Jimmy’s recommendation of the Loi Hei was absolutely amazing. Mixing all the sauces together with the fried chicken tenders and fries created a wonderfully flavour. The combination had a delightful kick from the mala and Hot & Spicy Flamin’ sauce, balanced beautifully with the creamy onion cheese, and even a subtle curry note that made it extra special. Thank you to all the staff at KFC NEX, and a special thanks to Uncle Jimmy for the sincere and wonderful service.
Truly disappointed with this outlet. We ordered the limited samyang $10 chicken set and collected it once ready. However, it came to our notice that the sauce was different from the expected one as seen in the picture. Asking the staff about it, they simply told us that this was the replacement as the carbonara sauce was out of stock. Indeed ridiculous. If that was the case, why not inform your customers beforehand? This highlights poor management, and is excellent way to disappoint and con your customers, I hope this incident never repeats.
