Kampong Glam Cafe - my wife and I were here today (31 January 2026) for lunch - it was the first time here for either of us. However, it was not that we had not been aware of this "cafe" or "eatery" that has been in business in Kampong Glam for maybe a decade or more already. It is just that we had been intimidated by the crowd of customers thereat. Anyway we had a very satisfying Malay lunch here today. We ordered the following here today: a very good Lontong, a tasty piece of ayam goreng, a nice enough epok epok, a comfortingly good Nasi Padang plate of ayam masak merah, tahu goreng, sayur lodeh and peria goreng, and a Coke Zero; all for $18.30, which was reasonably priced considering that it is Kampong Glam. Service here was very good - patient and friendly even though there was a constant stream of customers. The dining ambience here was nice enough considering that it was not air-conditioned and the staff here would clear your plates and cups after you are done with your meal.

Tried this French-Malayan fusion spot and it was a real treat! The interior is so elegant and chic—perfect for a date or a nice celebration. The food presentation was beautiful and the flavors were really unique. Highly recommend their squid ink pasta. It’s on the pricier side, but the quality and service make it worth it. A great place for a fancy meal near Arab Street!
