Despite the current rating at two stars, I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality and generous portions. Both the chicken and beef boat noodles were flavorful and hit the spot, and the Mee Rebus with chicken was equally impressive. The drinks were a highlight for me: the Thai Milk Tea wasn't cloyingly sweet, and the Kopi C Kosong was brewed to perfection. While the Kaya Butter Toast was a bit too soft and could have used more time in the toaster, the overall meal was very satisfying. Most negative reviews focus on the service, but in my experience, it was perfectly fine. The main drawback of the visit wasn't the staff, but rather the environment; since the door was kept open, birds kept flying in and out, which was a bit distracting while trying to eat. However, if you can overlook the feathered visitors, the food definitely deserves a much higher score than the current average. It’s a solid spot if you're looking for a filling meal that delivers on taste.
Older lady service staff was sullen, unpleasant and not service-oriented. The outlet has only one order kiosk which was occupied and the order station at the counter was available but she refused to take orders although she was not attending to anything or anyone. The outlet was not short of staff. It had 3 staff at the counter. The other 2 were also not service-oriented. Did not bother to respond to customers who thanked them when collecting their food at the counter. Wouldn't dine here again. By the way, the mee siam dish was thick and almost "muddy".
invoice # 549900643994222592 (Total amt $10.20 / total diners: 02). Uncleaned dirty tables to the left & right of us when we sat down (despite no crowd). Right side table with a strand of long, black hair, left side table with food / drink stains. Unhealthy food served with lots sauce (Chee Cheong Fun). Both Chee Cheong Fun & Chwee Kweh taste awful. Only us (2 dining pax) + another patron, and both staffs are standing behind counter either doing nothing or chatting, no attempts to check around dining area. Will be our first & last visit.
