Personally find their food average. The prawn cracker with sour and spicy condiment is good. The shrimp with bean isn't really done well. The shrimp wasn't fragrant and not fry properly with the bean. The chicken was a little tough though the sauce was acceptable. The curry fish head's curry lacks some flavour in it, not fragrant enough. Overall it's just an average home cooked food standard for me. Service is good.
Had the Executive lunch set ($12.80 ++, $15.35 after taxes) with a friend. Not bad. Liked their special sambal w koropok. We chose curry fish slices and beef with green pepper chillies (not spicy), comes with a drink. As it was off hours, place was quiet. The place ain't very big and gets very packed during busy hours. A good place to call and order packet food too! Very convenient.
I’ve been dining at Jiak Modern Tze Char for quite some time now, and it has become one of my go-to spots in the neighbourhood. The food is consistently delicious, with a good mix of classic and modern tze char dishes. Every visit with family and friends has been enjoyable, and the dishes never disappoint. The service staff are friendly, attentive, and always make us feel welcome, which adds to the overall dining experience. The environment is also comfortable and suitable for both casual meals and gatherings. Overall, a reliable place for good food and great company. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area!
