Halal chicken rice stall inside Lau Pa Sat, convenient if you’re around Raffles Place. I tried the steamed chicken rice and Ipoh curry chicken noodle. The chicken was tender and the rice was decent. The curry noodle was more flavorful and slightly spicy — I preferred this one. Price is affordable ($5–$8) with reasonable portion. Clearly halal. Queue can be long during lunch. Good for quick office meals or when dining with Muslim friends in the CBD.
The chicken is tender and juicy with smooth skin. The rice is fragrant and flavorful. The value for money is excellent, I paid $6 for the meal. Simple, comforting, and consistently good.
Curry chicken noodle was generous in portion for the price ($6.50). Chicken was succulent, taupok were soft and noodles were well cooked. Curry was fragrant but rather diluted. Friendly staff. Good choice if you are in Lau Pa Sat.
