The butter chicken tasted a little like it came out of a can. The chicken itself was good quality and the naan was great, but the sauce really missed the mark. A bit surprising, considering they advertise being featured in the Michelin guide.
I received a different dish than I ordered. When I asked the guy on the counter to swap it for the dish I ordered and paid for, he said I had to pay for the order again. “Why should I pay for your mistake?” After trying convincing the guy to swap the wrong dish for the correct one he insisted I had to pay 1 dollar. I was hungry and pissed, so I paid the extra. On top of that, the food was not good, and bread was raw. I regret coming eating on this place, My stomach and mind got ill.
We ordered chicken biryani from Indian Express. Taste-wise, it was acceptable, but the overall quality and service were disappointing. The chicken biryani was served without proper chicken pieces, which should not have been the case, as we paid full amount and Receipt was not given. Even after that, the quantity served was very little and not up to standard. By the time our order was being served, many customers had started ordering after us, and it appeared that the biryani was running out. As a result, it seemed like they managed the order with less rice and almost no chicken. Additionally, the biryani was served without proper shorba/curry, which is usually expected with chicken biryani. Another serious concern was regarding hygiene. While serving, a raita bowl slipped from a lady’s hand and fell into the dal. She was not wearing gloves. Surprisingly, she removed the bowl with her bare hand, and the remaining dal was still served to other customers, which is unacceptable from a hygiene and food safety perspective. Overall, this experience did not meet the expected standards in terms of portion size, quality, service, and hygiene.
