Joy O'ConnorGot two take-a-way curries and two naan breads for dinner. Everything we ordered was delicious. We asked for our curries to be mild and not too hot for us Australians, and that's exactly what we got. Tasted like authentic Indian and so pleased they had vegetarian dishes on the menu at reasonable prices. Would recommend trying the Indian Curry House if you love India food.
EL (Couch Blogger)I am a local and I come to Newton Curcus Food Centre for good local food. Ordered Chicken Tiki Masala for the first time 2 days ago and am an immediate fan!! The portions were generous - enough for two persons! (Ignore people who say this place is too touristy cos I doubt they actually come to NCFC). (Photo shows what's leftover for another day's meal cos I couldn't finish the large servings!)
Niamh WalshOrdered a small chicken curry and there were 2 hairs buried in it. We asked for a clear refund twice and she came out with another serving. We explained that we did not want to eat the serving because it was unhygienic, she refused a refund after we asked several times. She said the hair came from us sitting outside, which wasn’t true as we found it literally seconds after purchasing, buried within the sauce. She then said that because we used card we would not get refunded, we asked for a less amount in cash and she again refused. She then refused to speak any more and withdrew utensils, leaving the serving and returning to her stall. They were cooking without hairnets and it was clearly the chefs hair. Disgusting.
