Cerel was very attentive and friendly. Tried the chicken baked rice today and it was good, flavourful and comforting. The set came with a drink at just $10.80. I’ve also tried the Original chicken pie and black pepper pie before, and they were both packed with generous amounts of chicken filling. Would be happy to return. 😊
Came to Tangs on a weekday without knowing what to eat and came across this place. Its lunch set is $8.80 and is crazy value for money!! Comes with any choice of pie, a soup and any drink! The pie came piping hot, the crust thin, buttery and flakey! Soup was a little salty but it’s ok given the value. The staff are SO polite and genuinely friendly. I ordered tea and when she served it, she told me to let her know if I needed a top up of hot water. This is so refreshing as other places may not allow or may do it unwillingly. In my time there, I also witnessed an elderly man who was done with his meal and the staff offered to return the tray for him while he enjoyed his drink. The old man was paiseh but the lady insisted that it’s only a short distance. Really kudos to the team and the environment. Made my day! Will be back to try other pies too.
I was looking for a place to have lunch (thinking of having Japanese curry rice) when I turned and saw that Andy's Pie store serves curry baked rice too! Knowing that their pies are very good, I came in for a hot cheesy baked curry chicken rice set. No-no regrets! They are not stingy with the curry and ingredients, and it tasted like a so true SG "lemaky" curry flavour. I finished the whole dish! If you think Swensen's curry chicken baked rice is good, this is at least a 5x! Everyone should give this F&B establishment (Halal certified) a try! Dining area is clean and bright, with warm friendly staff.
