Seeing long queue during breakfast in the food court, I decided to come back and try their food for lunch. Taste wise it was good, would have been 4-5 stars. The experience spoilt it. First they pile sambal on top without asking. Their sayor lodeh consist of a good and generous mix of veg; cabbage, carrot, turnips and long beans. In fact there were plenty of beans. However, they were all undercooked, taste raw and hard on the bite. So too was the cabbage. I ordered extra sambal goreng and was a little taken aback that it cost $5, same amount as the lontong. The reason given was I asked to be served on a separate small plate. Both the sayor lodeh gravy and the sambal goreng taste great actually. No sarondeng. Too bad for the negative aspect of the whole experience.
Environment Was looking for an air-conditioned foodcourt to have dinner coz it’s a hot day & decided on parkway foodcourt, what a great choice! Enjoyed my dinner in a cool and comfortable place. Food Chose the beef set (rendang + 2 veggies. Very happy with my choice coz the rendang is out of this world, soft & flavourful. Perfect to eat with rice. Conclusion If you are a NTUC member, enjoy 10% off ($7.70) which makes it a pretty good deal.
3 persons stood around doing nothing while one took my order incorrectly. Upon realizing their mistake of giving me mee rebus instead of the lontong that I requested, the 4 of them decided to gaslight me to accept the mee rebus, saying “same price, same price!” How come receipt says “lontong”? I could not even bother to argue with these people. The food quality is overrated too.
