Slighly overated franchise serving mediocre bowls, but portion is good. Flavour is missing that zesty tang and completeness of the dish comparing to those in Japan. This rendition aims to overcrowd the bowl, sometimes less is more. Quality is more important. Normally presentation is also important for Japanese bowls rather than a messy style. The salmon was flaky, which is good, but flavour is missing. The marination is only tasted from the surface level with the mallard browning, with the middle area of the meat lacking that rounded flavour. Overall, did not meet expectations for a Japanese joint promising good bowls for a high price. But good on the portion!
Ordering at this place is a breeze. Just use their machine and wait for your food. Their chicken curry katsu is a generous portion, and the curry has a sweeter, more Japanese style. It’s a nice touch that they have less rice options. Located in Asia Square Food Court, this place can get crowded and may not have any seats.
Halal Japanese food at good prices! I tried one of their signature items, chicken katsu curry don (less rice). The food was good, portion was decent too! Worth a try!
