Interesting hotpot concept takeaway and we have a splendid meal! Leftovers were fried and made into my favourite versions of food. They will come to the delivery spot and pickup the pot after usage. By right they will also setup the hotpot but because of a last minute changes, we were made to set it up ourselves. No discount for our own service though..

Came as a walk-in and was glad we managed to get a table for 2 pax without much waiting. The ambience is nice and comfortable, and the aircon is pleasantly cold — great for hotpot. The ordering system is easy to use, and the menu is clearly stated with the quantity and weight, which makes it convenient to gauge how much to order. Portions were just nice for two people. We tried only one soup base since it was our first visit — the Authentic Sichuan Mala Soup. It was quite underwhelming as it tasted mainly spicy but not savoury. Not sure if that’s the intended flavour profile, but we found the soup a little bland overall. On the positive side, the staff were attentive and quick to help clear our plates. Overall, a decent experience and might consider trying other soup bases next time.

When we entered, the place and seating was quite squeezy and uncomfortable as it was small. The walkway is very narrow. Food is okay and was served quite fast. We got the tomato and mala soup. Tomato soup is yummy! However, we were disappointed with the dining experience as it blacked out twice in 90 minutes. It seemed like it happened quite often from the looks of the staff who did not look surprised at all. I’d recommend the Downtown East outlet as it a buffet style and about the same price as ala-carte style here at Jalan Pisang ($45-50/pax). Downtown East outlet is bigger and more condusive, especially for large groups.
