This new tau-suan stall surprises me. The bean are more crunchy than most stalls, just like the Tiong Barhu tau-suan. The you-tiao is crispy and the owner is generous with the amount on top. Tried the goreng pisang and it's really good too. The banana is sweet and almost to the state of being creamy. It's a fantastic addition to the hawker centre!
This stall sells a variety of local snacks.like you tiao, butterfly, ham chee peng and tau suan. The tau suan is sweet aand addictive. The ham chee peng is fluffy and tasty. Nice dash of cinnamon. The mak chik at the stall is helpful and polite.
I’ve always had a weakness for youtiao and salty bun (ham chim peng). But I rarely buy youtiao from this stall despite staying nearby. Reason being when you bite into it, the taste feels like bad/old oil taste. The salty bun is also not salty, quite tasteless.
