I love this place! The food quality is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable compared to cafés within botanical garden. What I enjoy most is the wide variety of local specialty dishes available, giving you plenty of options to choose from. The environment is also quiet, spacious, and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a meal and relax. A great way to start the day! As a local who has travelled extensively and enjoyed everything from hawker food to fine dining restaurants, I feel some of the negative reviews here are quite unjustified. Firstly, I have never experienced any service issues over the years. While the service may not be at the level of a luxury restaurant, the staff have always been helpful and courteous. In Singapore’s F&B scene, most establishments are also willing to replace a dish if customers are unsatisfied. Secondly, while the food may not be Michelin-star quality, it is consistently above average. The self-service concept helps keep prices affordable, and compared to paying $30 or more at nearby cafés, I’m more than happy to pay a fraction of that here. The value for money is excellent, especially considering the location. I sincerely hope they continue operating this way, as it has become one of my go-to places whenever I visit the Gardens
22Jun2026 It was a Monday. No crowd. It is a self service eatery. You order via the machine and collect your food and drinks. After eating, you got to put back the trays. We ordered very simple items-coffee, toasted bread and eggs. It tasted normal. The black sauce was not salty enough though. Overall it was okay..not fantastic😀😀😀😀😀😀
Instead of the $4 sandwiches (our table had the ham as well as the chicken mayo, neither of which were all that appetizing or filling), I would suggest instead getting the club sandwich (under the Western menu)(pictured below) for $8.80 and splitting between 2 people. You get 4 small sandwiches - with egg, bacon, chicken meat (which looked like cut-up chicken chop, i.e. real chicken meat), and veg - a few bits of salad, and fries. Had a bit of eggshell in it but otherwise tasted good and felt like a better value proposition compared to the other breakfast items on offer.
