Tender beef, luscious ribbons of flat noodles. Tastes great but portion of beef was measly, only around 50g. Felt like tongue was tingling after drinking the soup, not sure what herb or maybe MSG caused it, quite thirst inducing. Counter service was good, but midway through my meal one female server came to check my receipt but did it in a callous manner and disrupted my quiet enjoyment. Ambience was otherwise ok, aircon not strong, was a bit warm. Braised egg add-on cost sgd2, very small sized and overcooked. Total sgd14.2 for just a bowl of noodles with not much protein, not great value. Long queue at 1215hrs due to office lunch crowd. Unfortunately don't think I'll be back.
Had the Dry Three Treasure Noodles at Tongue Tip Lanzhou Beef Noodles in Chinatown Point and it was really satisfying. The noodles had a great chewy texture and were nicely coated in the savoury sauce, making every bite flavourful without being too heavy. The beef, tripe, and tendon all came together really well, the beef was tender, the tripe had a nice bite, and the tendon was soft and gelatinous in a really good way. What I liked most was the balance of textures. You get something different in every mouthful, and it keeps the dish interesting till the end. It’s the kind of bowl that feels simple but very well executed. Overall, a really solid and comforting noodle dish. Definitely a place I’d come back to when I’m craving something hearty and flavourful.
No Frills, Just Slurp Skills Tongue Tip Lanzhou Beef Noodles (Chinatown Point) is the definition of get in, slurp, get out, no fluff, no fancy plating, just honest bowls of comfort done right. You order at the counter, grab your food, find a seat, and let the noodle magic happen. The beef noodles hit all the right notes: springy handmade noodles, a flavourful broth, and that unmistakable Lanzhou aroma that feels like a warm hug on a busy day. The portion is generous, they don’t hold back on noodles, but the beef slices are a bit on the thin-and-shy side. Still, the overall taste makes up for it. The place is clean, comfy, and surprisingly pleasant despite its canteen-style setup. Perfect for a quick, satisfying meal that doesn’t need to shout to impress. Just bring your appetite… and maybe an extra napkin for all that joyful slurping.
