Alex TangOrdered the cold udon with beef for $18. Terrible combo. The fat from the meat congealed with the cold udon and dipping sauce. Left the whole meal tasting like I was eating wax. Pic is the leftover fat that I didn’t yet ingest. Makes one rethink about being vegetarian. Maybe other foods are better but this one ought to come off the menu. Or least put the beef in a separate bowl.
Joanne LeeUpdate 11/10: The more we try food at about the same $20 per pax price range and in the central area, we feel that we have to downgrade this further to just 2/5 stars overall from 3/5 stars previously. After the experience here, it formed what is like the basis of an “average 3/5” for the recent 3 weeks since having it but we since found so much more average food options that taste better and at the same price range; and much better tasting food at lower prices that it is only right to update the review 😅 3 weeks ago: Had a quick lunch on a Saturday after it shows up in our search for udon and seeing the amount of positive reviews, we decided to give it a go. Food wise, we had higher expectations relative to the pricing which is likely a 6/10 points in terms of taste of the broth, freshness / amount / execution of main ingredients, texture of the udon. It’s alright like better than foodcourt standard but not exactly the level of a good restaurant and if the pricing paid is at $12 range then it is worth a 8/10. To order - it is a DIY over e-kiosk and self collection when the buzzer goes off. Which overall is alright, as there’s still staff around whom are polite and helpful if u need clarifications or assistance. For a Saturday afternoon where it is relatively empty, the tables isn’t clean. Overall, it’s like an overpaying foodcourt experience for us. For $18 per bowl, sorry there’s other options for us to try 🙏
Rein JahatHere's a short review you can use: Writing I absolutely love Fu-Men Halal Udon! The udon noodles are always fresh, springy, and packed with flavour. The broth is rich and comforting, making every bowl satisfying from the first sip to the last. The halal-friendly menu gives a great variety of options, and the portions are generous for the price. The staff are friendly, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect place for family meals. Whenever I'm craving Japanese comfort food, Fu-Men Halal Udon is always my first choice. Highly recommended!
