Hatsune MikuFortune popiah at Bendemeer market is a total let down. This is the first time that I had popiah that tasted bland. And trust me, that is no small feat. The taste profile is rather unbalanced. The turnip/radish had no taste at all, and the other spices in the popiah was overpowering. It doesn't taste like popiah at all. The popiah was also poorly wrapped. It was loose and saggy, and you could hardly pick them up with chopsticks as they would break apart. This is another red flag as most popiah are round and firm. While looking at my popiah, I can't help but think of an old hag's skin. Loose and flabby. Although the staff was friendly, it is still not enough to buy them their redemption as this is a really poorly made popiah.
