Usually we would have gone for popiah but this time round decided to give their cuttlefish kangkong a try. Auntie was generous with ingredients and it was a big plate of veg and decent qty of cuttlefish. Nicely paired with nice sweet sauce concoction. This is one local dish at Maxwell that I find under the radar for tourists who wanted to try a wider experience of local food
Located in Maxwell hawker centre, this stores display Michelin and also photos with famous people. Tried their popiah, porridge and laksa. The popiah is tasty and the skin is thicker and thus bouncier then the other stores. Porridge and laksa portion is small so you if don't want anything heavy, this is a good smaller portion at a lower cost. Both are a tad bland.
Was going nearby/next door for coffee and decided to get a nice afternoon snack with the wife. The Popiah and Kueh Pie Tee at this Maxwell hawker stall were really nice. Did not ask for chilli to be added, but the lady boss she put a little on one of the Kueh Pie tee for me to try.... It was GOOD!!! Goes really well with the ingredients. Sharing with everyone, please give it a try!!!
