I simply could not resist and got the mixed three small muffins for $8 (the signage says medium, but trust me, the size would be considered small elsewhere), the standard-sized apple crumble muffin for $3, and a croissant for $3.50. You may think they are pricey for a neighbourhood location, but I think it is fair value for the quality. The muffins are incredibly moist, and the ganache filling is divine. You can tell they put a lot of thought into balancing the tastes; they can definitely rival the quality of CBD cafes. My only issue is that they did not give as much thought to the packaging. My croissant, a savoury item, was packed together with the sweet muffins. This resulted in it being disfigured with chocolate stains and a "taste remix". I may pop by again if I am in the area, and I will definitely ask for separate packaging even if it means a surcharge.
PS LoveuuTheir jumbo muffins used to be quite good at the beginning although they are quite pricey, $3-4+ each. I bought few times and my top favourite are the double chocolate, apple crumble and blueberries muffins. However recent purchases are disappointing, the blueberries muffin is too sweet - I feedback once but still the same and all muffins seemed to have shrunk in size. I can’t tell the supposedly mega from the mini ones. The double chocolate chips are good too but expensive for a neighbourhood store. I stopped buying after seeing houseflies enjoying the delicacy whilst the staff were busy in the kitchen. Hope you can improve, it’s a pity really.
L ChenAbsolutely love this bakes & confectionery shop! They offer a great variety of bakes — from several types of sourdough, muffins, puffs and sandwiches to cakes and festive CNY cookies. Their sourdough is a standout for me — just a quick air-fry and you get perfectly crisp edges with a soft, fluffy interior. So satisfying! The muffins are equally delicious, with rich and creamy fillings. The CNY cookies deserve a special mention — they’re absolutely adorable and nicely balanced in sweetness. The Orh Lu Lu cookie is a must-buy, especially if you love brownies — rich, fudgy, and addictive. Everything feels thoughtfully made and high quality. Will definitely be back for more! 🥖🧁🍪 If there’s anything I’d like to add, it would be to keep the sweetness level as low as possible — that would make everything even more perfect. Thanks! 😊
