The display board shows a beautiful plated meal: coleslaw, herbed bun, and Cajun fries 🇺🇸🍗 ✅What I actually received: 🍗 Chicken with standard brown gravy — Mild Cajun spice or flavor 🍟 Plain fries with only a light dusting of Cajun powder on some pieces — barely noticeable 🥔 Mashed potato instead of coleslaw 🥯 Plain bun instead of the herbed one pictured 📍The hidden policy 😤 When I asked about the missing coleslaw, staff said it only comes if you request it during ordering — mashed potato is the default. There is absolutely no sign or menu note indicating this. The menu photo clearly presents coleslaw as part of the standard dish, not an optional upgrade. 📌The taste test 👅 The chicken itself was tender and the gravy was decent hawker-style Western fare. The sizzling hot plate presentation was satisfying 🔥 But the gap between what was promised and what was delivered undermined the entire experience. Value at💰 $8.20 is fair for the portion size, but not for what was advertised. 📍A note on service 💪 Only one female staff was running the entire stall alone — cooking, taking orders, serving, and cleaning. I genuinely feel for her. She was polite and doing her best under impossible conditions. This is clearly a management issue, not a staff issue. ❎Bottom line 📝 Food is edible, but misleading advertising leaves a bad taste. If sides are customizable, state it clearly on the menu. If it's called "Cajun," it should actually taste like Cajun — not a sprinkle of powder on a few fries. Would not return until the menu accurately reflects what's served.
NanaWe packed home 2 boxes of crunchy chicken and 2 boxes of crunchy fish..lastly midwings. Midwings was fine. Crunchy fish ok. Crunchy chicken was bad...the moment I chewed onto the crust u can tell its fried and refried! Meat was dry with oily crust. Worse past... all the 4 mashed potato were ChaoSng! All spolit! I took a bite and spat out.. all have to be thrown into the bin and it tasted sour which came with a weird smell! Not patronizing again! I tried calling to inform them but no one pick up my call. Not buying from them anymore.
nelshasenroseVery disappointing experience at the Teck Whye outlet on 29 April 2026 around 11:45–11:50 PM. The service was extremely poor. There was a Malay female staff wearing a tudung who was rude to customers, including me. I even overheard her telling her colleague, “Don’t know la what they want to order,” which is very unprofessional. What made it worse was when she handled my payment, she threw the money towards my face instead of passing it properly. That kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable and disrespectful. Food quality was also not up to standard. Some items were undercooked while others were overcooked. Overall, a very bad experience. Staff attitude and food quality both need serious improvement. I won’t be returning unless things change.
