cookies are always delicious, and the staff (a girl and a guy) today on 2 May 2026 at 7pm were very friendly and patient, explaining the gift options and and allowing selection of the 7 flavours. there was also a lucky spin wheel with giveaways!
I have always enjoyed cookies from Famous Amos, and it has long been one of my favourite cookie brands. However, I recently had an unpleasant experience at your NEX branch that I hope you can look into. This was my first time purchasing from this outlet. I bought 3 cookies for $5. The staff asked whether I needed a plastic bag, and I declined. He then packed all three cookies together in a paper sheet bag. Since my child wanted to eat one immediately, I politely requested if one cookie could be packed separately. To my surprise, the staff told me there would be an extra $1 charge. When I asked why, he explained that individually packed cookies are $2 each, which would make the total $6 for three cookies. I clarified that I was not buying individual cookies separately — I was only requesting one cookie to be packed separately — and asked whether this was standard practice. He then changed his explanation and said there would be a charge for an extra bag. When I asked where this policy was stated, he revised the charge again to 10 cents for the bag. I agreed that a 10-cent charge is reasonable, especially in support of reducing packaging waste. However, the 10-cent charge was not reflected in the receipt initially. When I requested it to be included, the staff appeared very unwilling before finally printing a revised receipt. I understand and support charging for extra packaging to encourage environmental responsibility. The issue here is not the amount, but the inconsistency, lack of clarity, and the staff’s handling of the situation. This was not my first time buying the same product from other outlets, where large cookies are commonly packed individually for convenience when customers intend to eat them immediately. I hope management can kindly look into this matter and clarify: • Whether staff have a consistent understanding of packaging charges • What the official policy is regarding paper packing • Whether this practice is specific to the NEX branch Thank you for your attention to this feedback.
I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but this visit genuinely stuck with me. The staff was YiFei and he was nice. A bit shy, but very respectful, and most importantly had a really good attitude. His service felt genuine, which is honestly quite rare these days, so I felt like I had to give credit where it’s due. You can tell when someone actually cares about how they treat customers, and he does. Famous Amos is lucky to have him, and I hope they recognise that. People like him are the reason I would come back to this branch:) If the owner happens to see this, please pass on my thanks to him!
