One of my favorite places to eat... Except for the counter staff who like what another reviewer said, acts as if someone owes her money. Been bringing many friends to eat as the food and customisations options are really tasty compared to the other shops but they could really do much better in service. Will continue to look out to see if the service gets better because she is doing the chefs a huge disservice with her poor attitude.

We visited this Halal-certified teppanyaki eatery at Bugis Junction and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While we were making payment, the cooked vegetables and a bowl of steamed rice were already placed on the hot pan before we even sat down. We had ordered the sirloin steak set ($19), and the steak arrived about 10 minutes after we were seated. While waiting, we nibbled on the vegetables (bean sprouts and white cabbage). No one asked how we would like my meat cooked. The sirloin was served fully done by default, with no option for doneness. On top of that, thick gravy was ladled over the steak and vegetables, which made the vegetables soggy. Towards the end if the meal they started cleaning the table, putting thr trash bin almost into our face... For a $19 sirloin set, I would expect better attention to food preparation and handling, and at least some care in how the steak is cooked and served. Unfortunately, this will be out last visit.

I visited this Halal-certified teppanyaki eatery at Bugis Junction and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While I was making payment, the cooked vegetables and a bowl of steamed rice were already placed on the hot pan before I even sat down. I had ordered the sirloin steak set ($19), and the steak arrived about 10 minutes after I was seated. While waiting, I nibbled on the vegetables (bean sprouts and white cabbage). I was also surprised that the rice served was jasmine rice of rather low quality instead of pearl grain rice, which would have complemented the meal better. More importantly, no one asked how I would like my steak cooked. The sirloin was served fully done by default, with no option for doneness. On top of that, thick gravy was ladled over the steak and vegetables, which made the vegetables soggy. What concerned me most was something I noticed near the end of my meal. One of the teppanyaki staff used bare hands to grab a bunch of bean sprouts from a pail and transfer them directly onto the cooking pan. For a $19 sirloin set, I would expect better attention to food preparation and handling, and at least some care in how the steak is cooked and served. Unfortunately, this will likely be my last visit.
