This is the most miserable piece of chicken cutlet I have ever seen. As shown in the photo, the two corner pieces were almost entirely batter with hardly any chicken inside. The small separate piece of meat below the main cutlet was only added after I pointed out that there was barely any meat. Even then, it felt like it was given very reluctantly. It was extremely disappointing to pay for a chicken cutlet and receive mostly flour and batter instead of actual chicken. While the curry itself was flavourful and enjoyable, the quality and portion of the chicken cutlet fell far below expectations. The staff are generally friendly, especially the Malay aunty
This is a nice spot to enjoy Laksa over the weekend. Although they don’t serve cockles, the Laksa gravy is still very delicious. At $6.50 for the Laksa plus a drink, it’s a great deal for an air-conditioned place.
This is genuinely the saddest portion of Chicken Cutlet Set I’ve ever seen at any Encik Tan outlet. The chicken cutlet itself is tiny and very dry, almost like it was re-fried. The sad amount of curry doesn’t help its case. The egg is also so overcooked, dry and sad. Explains the terrible rating.
