Bought from this stall twice. I stayed in this area since birth and honestly I think they open up in one of the most competitive hawker center selling halal food. They’re not only fighting to sell food. They’re fighting with tradition as well. 3 well known traditional Nasi Padang stalls, 2 Nasi Lemak stall (1 is quite well known and traditional), 1 Prata stall( I rate this Prata shop in the Top 3). Everytime a new Malay shop open, they close the next month or two. That’s how competitive it is. The good thing about this shop is that they sell simple dishes. First time I bought their Nasi Lemak Ayam and Mee Goreng. Second time bought Nasi Lemak Ayam with additional Bergedil/Sotong and Mee Siam. Their Nasi Lemak, go for it. 4 out of 5 stars. Mantap guys!! Then rice to me has the right consistency and so is the fragrance. If their sotong is slightly more softer, 5 out of 5. Rarely a Nasi Lemak stall has sambal sotong. To me a traditional Nasi Lemak is eaten with Chicken/Fish with sambal sotong. Their Nasi Lemak checks the box…👍🏽👍🏽 Their Mee Goreng/Bee Hoon/Kway Teow looks and taste like the standard normal Malay noodles. The sambal tumis would elevate the noodles flavour. As for their Mee Siam I think they can improve the dish by using original tofu instead of the dried tofu. My only reason for this comment is because this area is pack with old people. They probably got no teeth so using original soft tofu would probably suit old people tastebud. Next time I drop by I’m going to buy their Kacang Pool. Saw some guy buying it and it actually looks decent. Not sure about the taste but the colour and consistency of the dish from what I saw is like how my mother makes it, so I hope it’s not disappointing.

This is the highest priced nasi padang in this hawker centre. Was charged $6.50 for sambal goreng, sayur lodeh and sambal boiled eggs! When I asked about the high price the proprietress replied “vegetables are very expensive”! Taste wise very mediocre. No wonder there was a queue of 10 people at the nasi padang stall next door but none at this one. PS: 1) What has a customer’s race got to do with the price of your food? What has what I wear got to do with the price of your food? Instead of attacking me with irrelevant comments you should focus on trying to price your food more reasonably. 2) Other customers have also criticised you in Google reviews for your expensive food. I’m not the only one. 3) Malay food is not expensive. Your stall is expensive! Both the Malay stall beside you and behind you price their food 40% cheaper than yours. They always have long queues while yours has zero queue. It is precisely because I often eat Malay food at hawker centres that’s why I’m super qualified to say your food is expensive. 4) $6.50 will easily get me a beef rendang and two other vegetables dishes at any other Malay food hawker stall.

Overpriced. Sotong is overcooked and inedible. And 10$ for this?!? Ridiculous better off spending the time queueing the store beside them
