Thank goodness I did not bother to read the reviews. Famished from an entire day of running around Halls 4 and 5, I noticed the stall also sold drinks which meant I didn't need to queue again after getting my food. So I decided to go with something safe like chicken chop with aglio olio. For $12 bucks with another $2, I was not expecting much from exhibition food but collecting the dish when my buzzer went off, I was instinctively drawn by the char on the chicken and the aroma from it. The sizeable quantity of protein and aglio olio was not bad too. But first the chicken, the meat was incredibly juicy and tender, radiating BBQ goodness, the char was actually crisp with barely any bitterness. I was hooked. The aglio olio was decent too, smooth with a strong hit of garlic, the pasta was al dente and provided really good bite. Next, the purple coleslaw that had a strange hint of wasabi, which made it even more addictive. Vegetables were crisp, purple lettuce added an extra zing. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised, who knew that an excuse to order drinks somewhere else could warrant an enticing find. One of the best chicken chips I have had, seasoned perfectly, good charring, excellent sides in a place which you would expect to deliver on anything other than awesome tasting food. For once, I am glad I didn't bother to google.
TLDR: uses same tongs to handle RAW and cooked chicken, rude staff same as a lot of the other reviews, the staff (as shown in the picture) was extremely rude. when i asked how much to pay, i wasn't able to hear him when he mumbled that an item was sold out. so i asked again to confirm the price and he replied again that the item was sold out in a very rude tone. overall this guy just wasnt attentive at all, even had an airpod in one ear. on top of that they used the same tongs for RAW chicken to serve my COOKED chicken chop???
Total crap. Straight to the bin. Not edible. Cold burger. Meat though as rubber. Guy at the till can't get off his phone. Go somewhere else.
