Food was good. We had ikan pepes (grilled fish covered with otah paste) Ayam sate (chicken was tender and flavourful) Beef rendang (beef was tough to our liking but still tasty) Sayur lodeh (normal) Portion size is good for sharing. My favourite was the chilli belachan, it was so good I asked if I could purchase. We were served by this gentleman, very friendly, great advice on what we should try Best part was you can adjust the sweetness of our fresh lime juice.

This is an Indonesian restaurant located along Tras Street. They were previously located along Tanjong Pagar Road. The restaurant has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand award annually since 2022, with the latest award on 2025. The decor is very cosy, with Indonesian decor, batik tablecloth-covered tables and warm lights. We ordered the following items: - Sambal: Sambal dip to pair with your food. Spiciness level: 7/10. - Nasi Kuning: This was tasty on its own and went well with the dishes. We couldn’t stop refilling our plates. - Sate Madura: Javanese-style chicken satay. Thick chunks of chicken on a stick and grilled. As the meat is well seasoned and grilled, no sauce was needed. It was served without peanut sauce, like the local version. The meat was tasty, though a tad charred on the outside and dry on some parts. - Terung Belado: Thick chunks of brinjal, served with sambal. I like eggplant/ brinjal, so this was good for me. - Tauhu Telor: Egg omelette. This was just alright, although it was a signature item. - Sop Buntut: Oxtail soup with potato chunks and sliced carrots. Soup was rich and delicious. Meat was soft and tender. Recommended! - Ikan Pepes: Fish covered with a 18-spice paste, covered with banana leaves and grilled. This was done well and the spices that coated the fish was reminiscent of otah paste. It’s good! Recommended dish. - Udang Serai: Prawns done Balinese style. Prawns were fresh and cooked perfectly. The gravy was good and I scooped it all up. 😍 This is a must-try! - Sapi Rendang: Rendang style beef. The meat was flavorful and tasty! - Ice Chendol: Shavings of ice with chendol and coconut milk. What I liked was the Gula Melaka shavings at the bottom of the dessert cup. It would be better if there was more coconut milk to make it taste better. The green chendol strips were a tad skinny and dry looking. I also had a fresh coconut which was refreshing. The lady restaurant owner is very friendly and spoke to us. She shared that they prepare their food using minimal oil and use herbs and fresh ingredients for their dishes, which you can taste. Overall, the food quality is good. We left the restaurant with full tummies and we were delighted with our meal. Recommended! 😋👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Prices were on the high side at $30++ on average but the portions were generous. Although all dishes that we ordered were delicious, they were far from being spectacular. Do note that the ikan bakar aka grilled fish was essentially steamed fish.
