I used the self-service booth to order the fish fillet nasi lemak for SGD5.90 as takeaway. Service was swift and the food tastes good as usual. The balacan chilli (has shrimps) is super bombs as usual and their fried ikan bilis is to die for. Portions are abit small for a small eater like me. I needed to eat some snacks at around 4pm as I had gym at 6pm.
This is one of the options for Malay and halal cuisines around the Downtown area. Somewhat uniquely, it offers some variants of Nasi Lemak not commonly offered in other restaurants, such as combining Nasi Lemak with fish fillet as seen in the picture. It is quite a nice twist if you are kinda tired with common Nasi Lemak toppings. Although, it must be said that the outlet size is quite tiny and can only serve 10-12 seated customers at a time and the staffs are quite less in numbers so it is not really designed to attract large crowds, just a quiet place to grab a bite.
Came with my friends for lunch. Totally disappointed as it used to be much better. The only staff is not friendly and although we can understand he’s alone and working under pressure, he could be friendlier. Chilli is super sweet Long beans is super salty Egg yolk is hard and overcooked Chicken wings not flavourful . Feels my $9.90 spend in vain. The whole restaurant seating wasn’t full, but we waited 20min for our food even when we were the only eat in he had to prepare then. He was preparing some grab delivery orders in bulk and we sat waiting..
