It’s a takeaway kiosk mainly. I ordered the Royale which is $8.90 with some cucumber, 1 fried chicken wing, 1 fish cake, 1 potato cake, a bit of fried anchovies & peanut with some sambal chili sauce. Maybe it was dinner time when I bought it, so the food was more freshly prepared and still hot. Taste wise, it’s ok, it’s not like wow this fried chicken so good… it’s ok, the fish cake is processed food, not much to comment, potato cake is nice to me but oily. The rice on its own is pretty tasteless, no coconut taste or fragrance. I was told the wait for collection is about 10 min but I returned after 15-20min and not yet ready. Maybe dinner time too busy? But the staff wasn’t like so busy preparing orders. Oh well, anyway prepare the wait. I don’t know if it’s value for money but I guess if you craving nasi lemak and you’re in west mall, you can try it.
I purchased a meal from Crave at West Mall on 23 March at around 12:30 PM. Upon returning, I ate it immediately, but was disappointed to find that both the rice and fillet were cold. The fillet in particular was quite hard, as if it had been left out for an extended period. In addition, the portion of rice provided was noticeably small. It appeared to be the remaining portion from the tray, and it was served without topping up to a proper serving size. While I understand that food may not always be piping hot, receiving it cold along with an inadequate portion is unacceptable. At a price of $6.20, this was not a satisfactory experience.
Service here has always been bad, but quality was still generally acceptable. Now, rice has changed from basmati rice to normal jasmine rice, MUSHY and overcooked somemore! What is the selling point? Bring back basmati rice, or at least learn how to cook fluffy jasmine rice pls.
