I’ve had Crave before and have liked it. I chose the chicken cutlet meal. Perhaps I made a poor choice, but I was pretty disappointed with what was served up. Presentation was poor, chicken cutlet was thin and dry. Egg oily and over cooked. Ikan billis and sambal was slightly redeeming, but overall taste, texture, ambiance, experience was poor. I know Crave can do better!
Came to the City Square Mall outlet today to take advantage of the Trust Card promotion (1 free chicken wing nasi lemak with 3 transactions). We had already made two prior purchases, so we came back for the third. When we approached the counter to order, we were directed to use the self-ordering machine instead. We followed the staff’s instructions and placed our order there. However, when we later tried to claim the promotion at the counter, we were told by a staff member that we were not eligible because we had ordered through the machine. We were also told that we should have checked beforehand, and that the promotion is managed by the mall, so they could not assist. This was communicated without any apology. This was quite frustrating, as we simply followed the instructions given. We were also advised to provide feedback directly to the company, which is why I am writing this review. It would be helpful if such promotion terms were clearly stated on both the ordering machines and at the counter, to avoid confusion for customers in the future. That said, the food and atmosphere remain great. I’ve always enjoyed eating at Crave.
Regular customer at Crave but almost always had either the chicken wing or cutlet. Trying the fried chicken leg for the first time. I don’t know is it a one-off but it is quite bad. Skin is bland and chewy. Meat is dry, chalky and tasteless. I can’t even finish it. I think I will stick back to chicken wing the next time.
