JYVisited this coffee house for the 1st time. The coffee house was surrounded with greenery at Bird Paradise. We ordered blue pea nasi lemak with mint curry chicken, dry curry chicken rice with egg, and kaya butter toast set for breakfast. The rice sets and even the toast set were tasty and reasonably priced. However the downside was that the coffee house was somehow hot despite in the morning as the aircon was not strong. Will not mind to return here for breakfast next time as the surrounding nature makes one feel relaxed. After breakfast, we walked a bit to explore the place. The man made waterfall was awesome!
ZackLocal here, visited while showing a friend around Bird Paradise and stopped for a bite. Ordered several items including Nasi Lemak with curry chicken, Mee Siam, Dry Laksa, and the pandan waffle. Overall a decent experience food-wise and a good way to showcase the local food scene. Is it the best hawker fare you can find in the country? No. But it's also by no means just a tourist trap. The food is a little pricey given its location but can hold its own against coffeeshop stores elsewhere in SG. The Nasi Lemak had a nice coconut fragrance with a decent enough sambal seasoning. I was also surprised to find that the chicken curry was well-spiced and flavorful. Mee Siam was just a tad sweeter than what I'm used to but had a good amount of sourness to balance it out as well. And the dry laksa was a little odd to me at first, but will pass for a laksa dish. I recommend just trying the normal laksa (with gravy) instead however. Pandan waffle was crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with good pandan flavor from the batter. Many have said this is one of their best dishes - I would agree. 2 men were running the show here - a cashier who takes your orders and is friendly for the most part, and a cook who prepares the food and sometimes steps in if the cashier is busy. The cook is rather rude and really should just be cooking instead of allowing to interact with customers at all. Then again, if you're looking for a sit-down experience, perhaps you should be looking elsewhere. Overall a good place to stop by for a meal if you're exploring the wildlife reserves - prices here are much better than if you were to eat within the reserves themselves and since re-entry is free, this is a strong contender for your lunch/dinner plans. Leelee OBeehoon with fried egg for breakfast, egg yolk was so runny ☀️ and the rendang curry puff? 💯💯💯 Peanut butter bread was so thickly spread, and bread was so soft. Egg was so fresh with no smelly smell 🤘🏽
