BotakDidn't know Old Chang Kee has cafes. Definitely a good place for coffee break, as they have a variety of food apart from curry puffs. There was a promo going on at the time of writing and it was prata with drink for SGD3.20, but I was too full at that time, so had to pass! There was a waffle set too! Maybe next time.
JA AI really wanted to give this place a higher rating, but unfortunately the food experience held me back. It’s not so much about the taste itself — after all, how wrong can Old Chang Kee go? It’s a brand many of us love. This outlet also serves breakfast and has a seating area, similar to the one at Changi Airport Terminal 3, where you can enjoy items like bee hoon and porridge in the morning. The issue I encountered was with the serving temperature. The porridge was only lukewarm, and the bee hoon was quite cold. Porridge, especially, should be served piping hot, so this was rather disappointing. I hope they can review and improve on this aspect. That said, the overall ambience is pleasant and the staff are friendly, which made the visit otherwise enjoyable.
kai jian cheowDecent food and good value. Mostly fried and spicy food. Terrible environment. Enclosed area with no air conditioning, very warm and stuffy. Extremely horrible service from a long-hair female employee. Rude and disrespectful, scolding us and speaking in a rude tone unnecessarily. She should not be working in a service industry at all. Definitely will not be back and will not recommend to anyone.
